LOWVILLE- The village of Lowville, NY is considering a local law that would restrict certain turns for motorists at the Davenport Place and State Street intersection while school is in session.

According to a release from village officials, the proposal would ban left-hand turns at the intersection from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and then again between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. any day school is in session.

Right-hand turns would only be allowed during those time frames.

Village residents wishing to voice their comments are invited to attend a public hearing, which has been scheduled for Wednesday July 20 at 4:00 p.m.

The meeting will take place at the village offices on Bostwick Street.
