LOWVILLE- A search warrant has resulted in felony drug charges filed against a village man, authorities say.
Jesse E. Lee, 27, was arrested by the Lowville Police Department last Thursday. He is officially charged with felony counts of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the third-degree (meth w/intent to sell) and conspiracy in the fourth-degree.
According to police, the arrest stems from a search warrant for a lock box, which was reportedly in Lee’s possession from a prior arrest. Investigators managed to find nearly 15-grams of meth, along with digital scales and packaging materials.
The conspiracy charge, according to authorities, traces back to Lee’s alleged involvement in a burglary that occurred in Lowville on June 9.
Following his arraignment in Lowville Town Court, Lee was sent back to the county jail, where he will await county court proceedings at a later date.
The county’s Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
