
LOWVILLE- Two local residents are charged in a pair of shoplifting cases in Lewis County, authorities say.
On March 26, Lowville Police Department arrested and charged Gwendolyn Holton, 33, of Castorland, NY for one count of petit larceny.
Teresia L. Jenne, 49, of Lowville, NY with also arrested and charged with the same on March 27.
Both allegedly took goods from the Kinney Drug store in the village without paying, authorities say.
According to Police Chief Daryl Ortlieb, Jenne is accused of shoplifting nearly $100 of merchandise, while Holton is accused of shoplifting nearly $40 worth of merchandise.
Both suspects were issued with an appearance ticket, returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
