
LOWVILLE- Mayor Joe Beagle will remain at the helm for what will now be his second term in charge.
He edged out his challenger – Kay Young – 262 to 243 during Tuesday’s village elections.
In addition, there were three candidates competing for two trustee seats, including Timothy Widrick, Anthony Adsit and Dennis Bishop, who ran on a write-in campaign.
According to officials, Widrick racked-up 343 votes, while Adsit had 248 and Bishop had 191.
Several other races are anticipated throughout Lewis County and the entire North Country for the upcoming June Primary.
