Minor damage reported after vehicle crashes into pole at Lowville Kinney Drugs

LOWVILLE- Emergency authorities responded to an accident involving one vehicle that smashed into a pole Thursday morning in the village.

It happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. at Kinney Drugs, 7395 Utica Boulevard. Members from Lowville Fire and Police and Lewis County Search & Rescue all responded.

According to Fire Chief Joe Austin, an official cause of the accident is still yet to be determined, however; he mentioned that it does appear to be accidental in nature.

Minor damage was reported to the bottom end of the support beam. Chief Austin told us the structural integrity is still intact.

The car was taken from the scene on a wrecker, but it appeared that there was no major damage.

In terms of injuries, Chief Austin said there was someone taken from the scene by Lewis County Search & Rescue for evaluation, but could not confirm whether or not there were any minor or major wounds suffered.

The scene was cleared roughly around 10:00 a.m.
