Mohawk Valley man accused of possessing stolen property in town of Russia

RUSSIA- A man from the Mohawk Valley is accused of possessing stolen property, authorities say.

Steven A. Andrade, 39, of Rome, NY was arrested Wednesday by the New York State Police (Herkimer). He is formally charged with one felony count of possessing a forged instrument in the second-degree; along with two misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing stolen property in the fifth-degree and one misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from complaints in the town of Russia this past June.

At press time, police said Andrade was held. There were no further details provided.
