
Another riding season is underway in Northern New York and though things got off to a very strong start, Mother Nature has gone off the rails with a recent warm snap.
Expect rapidly changing conditions and be mindful that some trail systems will be either closing or re-opening periodically, due to possible hazards from a vicious wind storm Friday morning.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Temporary trail closures; seasonal roads are open.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Beware of changing conditions.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Fair conditions.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Keep checking back for updates; crews will be assessing trails.
Trackside Blazers: Be mindful of potential changing conditions.
Turin Ridge Riders: Trails remain CLOSED; crews will be out assessing.
Valley Snow Travelers: Crews need time to inspect the trail system.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
