Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, March 6, 2026

Spring is certainly approaching and snowmobilers are warned that trails will very likely be deteriorating, especially with rain forecasted this weekend and high temperatures ranging into the 50’s and 60’s through most of next-week (SPOLIER ALERT: The latest models show a return of winter, but it is March and spring is on the way regardless).

In short, snowmobilers should be expecting varying and spring like conditions for this weekend (be mindful of current and likely further trail closures).

Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Expect grooming to be limited until further notice; trails remain fair to good.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: All valley trails from Brantingham to Tug Hill are CLOSED. Trails east are passable.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Some trails have been closed; expect spring like conditions.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Expect deteriorating conditions; grooming is suspended.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Expect trail conditions to vary.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: The base has been holding up, but watch for changing conditions.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Expect varying and spring like conditions for the weekend.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Fair to marginal conditions reported.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Expect varying and spring like conditions for the weekend.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Grooming is on hold for the time being; be mindful of varying conditions.

Trackside Blazers: Expect varying and spring like conditions for the weekend.

Turin Ridge Riders: All lower trails remain CLOSED. Tug Hill Trails are open.

Valley Snow Travelers: Lower trails are CLOSED and grooming remains suspended (pending any weather pattern flips).

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
