Osceola Snowmobile Assocaition Groomer February 2023

“It’s better than having no snow to ride on.” That seems to be a common remark we’ve heard echoed from snowmobilers as we charge towards another weekend.

Bitterly cold wind-chills are forecasted Thursday night and into Saturday afternoon.

We still haven’t had any widespread, blockbuster snowfall this week. However with that said, some parts of the region have picked up some fresh snowfall.

There is riding to be had. Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Fresh snowfall is being reported; groomers will be out.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails are open; groomers have been out; lower trails have thinner snow.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are open; coverage varies; some fresh snow; base is thin.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: All trails have re-opened; conditions vary and groomers have been out.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Fresh snowfall is reported; groomers will be heading out.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Trails remain in good shape; groomers have been out at night.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Groomers have been working in Norway, Poland and Cold Brook.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails remain in fair to good shape; up to six-inches of base.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Groomers have worked with what snow is available.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: All trails are open; groomers have worked most of the trail system.

Trackside Blazers: Groomers have worked with what coverage is there; C7 (railroad track section) is CLOSED.

Turin Ridge Riders: Tug Hill Trails have been good; some lower trails have thinner coverage.

Valley Snow Travelers: Groomers have been out on the Tug Hill Trails, with some fresh snow reported; Lowville trails are open (watch for hazards).

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
