Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Thursday, January 11, 2024

Published on January 11, 2024

Osceola Snowmobile Association Trail January 2024

Although it’s certainly been a very slow start to this riding season, there is snow in the National Weather Service forecast for the general North Country region through the next week ahead.

There are clubs throughout the Tug Hill Region and beyond that have started to groom the trails, but riders are warned of widespread early season conditions and potential debris from the wind storm earlier in the week.

Riders are warned to use extra caution and look out for any fallen trees, limbs and other debris.

In the meantime if you’re up to ride, here some of the latest reports from out on the trails:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: No grooming yet.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails were opened as of Sunday; expect early season conditions.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails were opened this week, but coverage is thin and groomers have yet to be out.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are temporarily CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Most trails were opened this week; conditions vary.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are temporarily CLOSED.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are temporarily CLOSED.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
