Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Thursday, January 26, 2023
After weeks of having little to none for snowmobiling, it seems as if things are swinging in a more positive direction.
Although it hasn’t been blockbuster (so far), we have received some fresh snowfall. Up to a foot of snow is forecasted in the heaviest predictions, mainly across portions of Tug Hill.
More and more trail systems are starting to re-open.
Here are the latest updates we have gathered:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Some new snow, but not enough to groom.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails are open (except Kovach and Mountain Tom) and no recent grooming
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Some new snow, but not enough yet to groom; trails still closed.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: All trails have re-opened; avoid West Leyden Trail for now.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: No recent updates
Osceola Snowmobile Association: There is riding from Cedar Pines to Highmarket; groomers have been out.
Ohio Ridge Riders: As of this week, most trails have re-opened; seasonal roads have been good and groomers have been working.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are fair to good; snow coverage has improved and up to 4-inches of base.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Waiting on updates.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Groomers went out towards Highmarket and Swancott Mills; good snow reported on seasonal roads and higher elevations.
Trackside Blazers: Trails have re-opened; watch for hazards.
Turin Ridge Riders: Tug Hill Trails are open; some lower trails are open (use caution), while some remain closed.
Valley Snow Travelers: No recent updates.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
