National Parks Get Big Economic Boost

One can learn all kinds of things in Mother Nature’s backyard, so to help both the youth of the state and local economies, Gov. Cuomo unveiled the framework for the New York Parks 2020 Plan.

This will leverage approximately $900 million in public and private funding to modernize the State Park system. Used and neglected infrastructures will be renovated and brought up to the 21^st century. While, historical landmarks will be preserved and cared for. Other than saving national treasures for future generations, another goal of the program is to help revitalize tourism in adjacent areas
