
The national average price for a gallon of fuel Tuesday morning was $3.64, according to the AAA.
It’s nearly identical to last week’s average, but slightly more than last month when it was $3.59. Last-year at this time, national average gas prices were ranging at a very similar $3.54.
“From a demand perspective, we have entered the pre-Memorial Day funk,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson.
In New York State, drivers are paying an average of $3.73 as of this report, which is nearly 30-cents higher than a month ago now and slightly more expensive when compared to this time last-year.
According to GasBuddy, drivers filling up in Lowville and Boonville, NY as of this report are paying upwards of $3.79 per-gallon.
Prices up in the city of Watertown, NY are not much cheaper, with some establishments offering prices as low as $3.59 per-gallon, but most others seem to be ranging as high as $3.79. The same can be said for the city of Syracuse, NY.
In the Mohawk Valley region, drivers are not finding anything much cheaper there either, with most establishments in Utica and Rome, NY offering pump prices as high as $3.79.
