
The national average price for a gallon of gas here in the U.S. was $3.46 as of Tuesday morning, which is slightly higher than $3.44 last-week, says the AAA.
A month ago now, drivers across the U.S. were paying an average of nearly $3.60. Last-year, the national average was just shy of $3.60.
Here in New York, drivers statewide are paying an average of $3.58 as of this report, which is neatly identical when compared to last-week, yet cheaper than the $3.68 average a month ago.
Last-year in this time frame, New York’s average gallon of gas rang in just shy of $3.70.
As of this publication, drivers filling up in Lowville, NY area are paying as low as $3.55 per-gallon and as low as $3.69 in Boonville, NY, according to GasBuddy.
Meanwhile, most pumps in the city of Watertown, NY are offering similar prices, with some establishments even cheaper prices.
The same can be said for the city of Syracuse, NY.
Finally in the Mohawk Valley, specifically the cities of Rome and Utica, NY, drivers are filling up within a similar price range when compared to areas up north.
