CONSTABLEVILLE- A public library in Southern Lewis County will receive assistance to help expand, thanks to a grant program via the Northern New York Community Foundation.

Thanks to an $8,000 grant from the Kenneth V. and Jeannette Remp Sawyer Community Fund, the library in Constableville, NY is aimed to use that funding to help acquire new furniture, games and electronics.

According to library officials, the expansion will greatly enhance the educational and recreational opportunities for children and families, as well as surrounding communities.

Fourteen grants totaling $58,050 were awarded this year from the Sawyer Community Fund to support projects and programs that broadly impact the quality of life for residents in Boonville, Constableville and Westernville.

The application for the next grant cycle for funding from the Kenneth V. and Jeannette Remp Sawyer Community Fund will be available in February, 2023.
