No Injuries were reported from Fire that Destroyed The Big Moose Inn

TOWN OF WEBB-An early Saturday morning fire destroyed the historic Big Moose Inn. Town of Webb Police Chief Ron Johnston reported that the Big Moose Fire Department was activated for a fire alarm at the inn on Big Moose Lake in the Town of Webb. The owner of the property who lives directly next door, ran across the driveway and successfully evacuated all guests.  There were no injuries. Currently the New York State Homeland Security Fire Investigations Unit is on the scene. The building appears to be a total loss. The following departments were assisting at the scene as of press time: Big Moose Fire Department, Eagle Bay Fire Department, Old Forge Fire Department, Inlet Fire Department, Raquette Lake Fire Department, Otter Lake Fire Department, and Woodgate Fire Department, Old Forge Ambulance and Raquette Lake Ambulance.
