Increasing supplies and a lower demand have resulted in declining prices at the gas pumps. At-least that’s according to the AAA.
Since Monday, the national average has dropped to $3.44. Here in New York, an average gallon of gas (as of this report) is $3.73.
In areas including Boonville, Lowville and Old Forge, gas prices gas prices range as high as $4.05. Meanwhile, prices in Ilion, NY are under $3, including as low as $2.87.

Watertown gas prices hovered as low as $3.49 and $3.65 in Syracuse. A-year-ago now, gas prices in New York averaged just north of $3.50.
If you, the consumer, feel as if your gas station is price gouging, the office of New York's Attorney General invites you to fill out a complaint form online.
