North Country man charged with driving while impaired by drugs, Troopers say

CHAMPION- A North Country man is accused of driving while impaired by drugs in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Christopher G. McMahon, 39, of Carthage, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Carthage). He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the first-degree.

Troopers say the arrest was made in the town of Champion. At press time, police said McMahon was released with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
