CROGHAN- A North Country resident is accused of fraud for allegedly transferring funds that police say were unauthorized.

Seanna S. Carrow, 23, of Watertown, NY was arrested last Wednesday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office for one felony count each of forgery in the first-degree; identity theft in the second-degree and grand larceny in the fourth-degree.

The investigation sparked back in February, as police accuse Carrow of logging into her ex-husband’s fidelity retirement account, adding her name as a beneficiary and then transferring $1,000 into her own account without permission.

Following an arraignment, Carrow was released. Members from Jefferson County Probation assisted.
