NOTICE: Fort Drum to conduct full-scale exercise

FORT DRUM- Residents throughout the North Country should beware that Fort Drum will be conducting full-scale exercises.

According to a news release, officials say the training is necessary to grade emergency response teams.

The public should expect to see teams of fire crews, ems and police from Fort Drum and other local responders conducting simulated training exercises. The training is expected to last Tuesday and Wednesday, July 19 and 20.

Officials iterate that these exercises are aimed to test response from local emergency teams for when it comes to certain disasters and incidents, along with coordination and communication.
