NWS: Winter Storm Warning remains for Tug Hill Region through Thursday evening

JEFFERSON & LEWIS COUNTIES: WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 P.M. EST THIS EVENING.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatest snow accumulations will be across the Tug Hill Plateau and near the Saint Lawrence River.

* WHEN...Until 7 P.M. EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions with reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Widespread accumulating snow and ice will create dangerous travel conditions.
