NYSP: Boonville man accused in Ava larceny investigation

AVA- A man from the northern end of Oneida County is accused in a larceny investigation, authorities say.

Justin Z. Smith, 21, of Boonville, NY was arrested early Thursday by the New York State Police (Lee). He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of petit larceny and unlawfully possessing personal ID information in the third-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges stem from larceny complaints filed in the town of Ava last December.

At press time, Smith’s arrest status was listed as ‘held’ and police said an investigation was still pending, with evidence.

No additional details were provided from the State Police.
