NYSP: Carthage resident accused of criminal mischief in Jefferson County

CHAMPION- A North Country area resident is faced with an accusation stemming from a reported harassment incident last weekend in Jefferson County.

On Thursday afternoon, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Autumn Rose Markert, 19, of Carthage, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property).

According to Troopers, this arrest was made in the wake of a harassment complaint on March 7 in the town of Champion.

At press time, police said that Markert was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
