NYSP: Herkimer County resident charged with felony possessing a forged instrument in Poland

POLAND- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with a felony fraud related charge in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Brian K. Jones, 53, of Newport, NY was arrested early Wednesday by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Jones is formally charged with one felony count of possessing a forged instrument in the first-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a fraud complaint earlier this month, which was filed in the village of Poland, NY.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

There were no further details provided.
