JEFFERSON COUNTY- A local North Country resident is one of two suspects charged with burglary in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Kendra J. Zehr, 27, of Carthage, NY and Jacob D. Dindl, 36, of Antwerp, NY were both arrested Thursday afternoon by the New York State Police (Watertown). Zehr and Dindl are formally charged with one felony count each of burglary in the third-degree (illegal entry w/intent to commit a crime).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the town of Antwerp.

In what appears to be a separate case, Zehr was also arrested Thursday by the State Police in Alex Bay for one misdemeanor count of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree. That charge was filed in the town of Orleans, officials said.

At press time, Dindl’s arrest status was listed as centralized arraignment.

Meanwhile, Zehr’s arrest status on the possession charge indicated being held (without bail) and centralized arraignment for the burglary charge.

There were no further details provided.
