NYSP: North Country resident charged with felony criminal contempt in Jefferson County

WILNA- A North Country area resident is faced with a felony offense in Jefferson County.

On Sunday afternoon, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Phillip M. Thomas, 38, of Carthage, NY with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree.

According to Troopers, this charge was filed in the wake of a reported domestic dispute Sunday in the town of Wilna.

At press time, authorities said that Thomas’ arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
