NYSP: North Country resident charged with unlicensed operation and criminally possessing controlled substance in Jefferson County

CHAMPION- A North Country resident is faced with charges in Jefferson County, including drug possession, authorities say.

Jeremy Fay Snyder, 39, of Carthage, NY was arrested early Thursday by the New York State Police (Carthage). Snyder is formally charged with one count each of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were filed shortly after 2:00 a.m. in the town of Champion.

At press time, police said Snyder was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
