NYSP: Personal injury wreck in Lewis County results in DWI arrest for resident from the Adirondacks

DIANA- A personal injury wreck in Lewis County in October has resulted in DWI charges against a resident from the Adirondacks.

According to the New York State Police (Carthage), this incident occurred on October 12 on the Middle Branch Road, town of Diana.

One injury was reported, though further details were not specified in the initial reports from State Police.

As a result from their investigation, Troopers arrested and charged Erwin E. Planty, 60, of Star Lake, NY on Monday with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

At press time, police said that Planty was issued with an appearance ticket.
