NYSP: Personal injury wreck results in felony DWI charges filed against Lewis County Man

NEW BREMEN- A pair of felony DWI charges have been filed against a local man, following reports of a personal injury wreck early Friday in Lewis County, authorities say. 

Shane M. Towsley, 36, of Beaver Falls, NY was arrested shortly after 2:00 a.m. Friday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Towsley is officially charged with one felony count each of DWI (previous conviction within 10-years) and operating a motor vehicle (.08 of 1% BAC w/a prior offense).

According to Troopers, these charges stem from reports of a personal injury wreck in the town of New Bremen, about an hour before the arrest occurred.

At press time, police said an investigation was still pending and Towsley's arrest status was unknown.

There were no further details provided.
