NYSP: Poland resident charged in wake of domestic incident

POLAND- A local resident from Herkimer County is faced with charges that stem from complaints of a domestic dispute last Friday, authorities say.

Sean P. McDermott, 65, of Poland, NY was arrested Sunday afternoon by the New York State Police (Herkimer). McDermott is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (reckless property damage > $250) and illegal discharge of a firearm/long bow.

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the wake of a reported domestic incident in the village of Poland, NY.

At press time, police said that McDermott was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
