Official and unofficial snowfall highlights from around Oneida County in wake of latest lake effect snow blitz

ONEIDA COUNTY- The National Weather Service says the area of Taberg, NY took home the cake with the highest snowfall measurements in the wake of the latest lake effect blitz throughout most of Oneida County.

As of midnight Monday, January 6, 2025, a publicly recorded measurement of 67-inches of snowfall was observed just two-miles northwest of Taberg.

Meanwhile, a measurement recorded near Camden, NY came in a close second place at 65-inches. 

60-inches was observed by a trained spotter in Ava, NY, as was 42-inches in Lee, NY and 40.5-inches in Marcy, NY.

Officially in Boonville, NY, Edy O'Rourke measured a storm total 55.4-inches.  

On Sunday, Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. declared a State of Emergency, which remains in effect until further notice.
