Officials on the hunt to replace departing Lewis County Manager Piche

LOWVILLE- Lewis County Manager Ryan Piche will take on a new position this fall as the Administrator for Jefferson County, a role that will serve almost identically to his duties performed since 2017.

Although Mr. Piche has made it clear that he plans to help during the transition, his new path in Jefferson County will take full effect come fall.

In the meantime, the Lewis County Legislative Board will seek out and appoint a replacement. An application has been posted on the county website.

Potential candidates do not have to be a Lewis County resident at the time of application however; must become so within 60-days on appointment and remain through their time in office.

Officials say they hope to have someone appointed by the end of summer.
