Old Forge resident charged with operating while impaired by drugs and criminally possessing controlled substance in Forestport

FORESTPORT- A resident from the Western Adirondacks is faced with a pair of charges in Northern Oneida County.

On Sunday morning, the New York State Police (Remsen) arrested and charged Benjamin E. Greene, 45, of Old Forge, NY with one count each of operating a motor vehicle (while impaired by drugs – first offense) and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were filed on Sunday morning in the town of Forestport.

At press time, police said that Greene was released to a third party.

There were no further details provided.
