BOONVILLE- On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, spokesperson for Boonville's First Presbyterian Church and their Wish Upon a Star Christmas Gift Program, Diane Hausserman, joined North Country News to remind folks that this year's stars are still up for adoption.
"Every year for over 30 years, our church has sponsored a program to provide gifts to local children who need a holiday gift and clothing," Hausserman said.
Each child resides in the Adirondack School District. Each star represents a child and has the gift wish, clothing size and any special requests.
These stars are still available at Apple Blossom Floral Shoppe (119 Main Street). Folks who may be interested with participating can select a star, purchase what is listed, and bring it unwrapped to First Presbyterian Church on Monday, December 8 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
"Our community has been generous in years past and local families need your help now more than ever. Please stop in a select a Star, or two, and help local families," Hausserman added.
