ON-AIR SEGMENT: Lewis County Area Snowmobile Association President and Vice President join North Country News to discuss snowmobile safety

BRANTINGHAM- On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the President and Vice President of the Lewis County Area Snowmobile Association, Josh and Mike Leviker, joined North Country News with highlights from the yearly snowmobile safety press conference, which was hosted last Friday thanks to the Brantingham Snomads.

With several figures from a plethora of different agencies giving remarks from the state and local levels, the main message during this year's safety briefing revolved around 'RIDE RIGHT.'

Specifically, the message does not simply mean for snowmobilers to ride on the right side of the trail system, but rather ride right as in responsibly; riding with care; obeying speed limits and easing off the throttle; giving right-of-way to the groomer and most importantly, watching out for your fellow snowmobilers.
