ON-AIR SEGMENT: New York Ag Commissioner Richard Ball talks Round 2 of Dairy Modernization Grant Program

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, New York State Commissioner of Agriculture, Richard A. Ball, joined North Country News for the second part of our latest on-air series focusing on the second round of New York's Dairy Modernization Grant Program.

In August, Governor Kathy Hochul announced $8.5 million is available to dairy farmers and cooperatives as part of Round 2 of the New York State Dairy Modernization Grant Program.

First announced in Governor Hochul’s 2024 State of the State address, this grant program provides unprecedented support to New York’s dairy farmers and improves dairy supply chain efficiency. 

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, October 28 and application details are available online via the Farm and Food Growth Fund.
