LEWIS COUNTY- On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Greig Town Supervisor, Robert Johnson, joined North Country news for an on-air segment focusing on the town's effort to develop a comprehensive plan, which will allow the proper zoning laws while a decision is made on what to do with a proposed battery energy storage system.

For context, the town board unanimously passed a moratorium in January banning commercial renewable energy and energy storage systems for an entire year to allow more time for a decision to be made.
