LEWIS COUNTY- On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Town of Greig Supervisor, Robert Johnson, joined North Country News and discussed an upcoming meeting for Thursday, January 29 that will focus around the town's Comprehensive Plan.

Just recently, the town board passed a year-old moratorium, which will ultimately forbid any construction for commercial renewable energy and energy storage systems.

According to officials, the moratorium will last for a full-year and was passed to allow the board more time to hash out a plan for zoning laws and how these types of projects may or may not fit in.
