UTICA- Officials from the Oneida County Department of Family and Community Services has received a recent uptick in reports in benefits being skimmed from SNAP recipients.
Officials warn to beware that you should never use third-party mobile apps to check and or manage SNAP benefits.
In addition, officials suggest to utilize the “Lock Card” feature in the 'MyBenefits' app to stop others from being able to access your SNAP benefits and to never share your PIN number, as stolen benefits CANNOT be replaced.
