Oneida County resident accused of aggravated DWI and other charges following traffic stop in town of Western

WESTERN- A local resident from Oneida County is faced with numerous charges, including DWI and drug possession, following a traffic stop over the weekend, authorities say.

Edmund A. Tanner, 44, of Taberg, NY was arrested Sunday evening by the New York State Police (Lee). Tanner is officially charged with one count each of aggravated DWI, operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1%), use of a vehicle without an interlock device and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were issued in the town of Western shortly before 6:00 p.m. that evening.

At press time, State Police said an investigation was pending. Tanner was issued with an appearance ticket.
