CROGHAN- A local man accused of violating an order of protection this week in Lewis County is faced with a mix of charges, authorities say.
Daniel P. Monnat, 28, of Croghan, NY was arrested Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office. He is officially charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree, one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and one violation count of harassment in the second-degree.
According to Deputies, Monnat is faced with these charges in the wake of an alleged physical dispute that took place Wednesday night in Croghan.
It’s reported that Monnat violated the order of protection.
He was arraigned in Watson Town Court and remanded to the county jail on $2,000 bail.
