Property damage accident in August results in vehicular assault, impaired driving charges against Lewis County resident

AVA- A local resident is faced with numerous charges, including intoxicated driving and vehicular assault, following reports of a property damage crash over the summer in Northern Oneida County.

Alexander W. Pfendler, 33, of Constableville, NY was arrested Saturday afternoon by the New York State Police (Oneida). Pfendler is formally charged with one felony count of vehicular assault, along with DWI (first-offense); operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and DWAI (combined influence of drugs and/or alcohol).

According to investigators, these charges trace back to a property damage accident on August 2 in the town of Ava.

At press time, authorities said Pfendler was issued with an appearance ticket.
