MARTINSBURG- A Madison County resident, who recently moved to the Lewis County area, is accused of violating the sex offender registry with three different offenses.

Jeremy J. Saunders, 30, of Glenfield, NY, who is a level 2 registered sex offender, was arrested last Thursday by the Sheriff’s Office on three felony counts of violating New York’s Sex Offender Registry.

According to investigators, Saunders allegedly failed to update his address upon moving. In addition, Saunders is accused of failing to return his annual verification and also having an unregistered SnapChat social media account.

Police said that Saunders was recently convicted on previous sex offender registry violations, which enhanced these latest accusations to a felony level.

At press time, officials said Saunders was arraigned and remanded to the county jail, without bail.
