LEWIS & ONEIDA COUNTIES- A wind farm project that will encompass parts of Oneida and Southern Lewis Counties is eyed to be complete come 2028.
According to the latest reports from WWNY-TV, David Senehi, who is a managing member and developer at Green Power Energy, took on various questions this week about concerns that have surfaced over the wind farm development process.
It is reported that the project does not require approval from local officials, including at the town, village and county level.
Rather, the project is being funneled through the State Office of Renewable Energy.
Reports suggest that most of the energy generated from this wind farm would ultimately flow towards New York City.
We have been in touch with officials at the county level on this matter and we have arranged to speak to at-least one local resident on this development.
Stay tuned for future reports and updates.
