HERKIMER COUNTY- A decision has been made concerning the lawsuit that has been riddled with several months of legal proceedings between the Poland Volunteer Fire Company and the Poland Joint Fire District.

According to the latest updates from WKTV, Herkimer County Supreme Court Justice Mark Rose released a twelve-page decision on Monday afternoon that dismissed the fire company’s lawsuit.

In other words, it is now reported that Poland Volunteer Fire Company will remain closed.

Meanwhile, a counter claim from the Joint Fire District remains active and reportedly revolves around equipment the fire company has.

A conference for that matter is scheduled for later on in December.

In his decision, Judge Rose cited various documented concerns, while also ruling the fire district did not have to give public notice prior to passing the resolution suspending the company.
