BOONVILLE- Authorities are seeking public assistance with identifying a pair of individuals after a local barber shop was damaged in Northern Oneida County.
When employees of Sattler’s Barber shop arrived to open up during the morning of February 16, it was to their dismay that the antique barber pole, attached to the front of the renowned downtown establishment, had been completely smashed.
Video footage, obtained by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and courtesy via a live-stream camera by Lake Effect Tech, shows two individuals walking away from the barber shop and towards the Hulbert House only a moment after the incident occurred.

The footage does not show the destruction actually occurring, but viewers can hear the sound of glass shattering.
The two subjects in question appear to be a male and a female, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Witness accounts we received that morning suggested there was a blood trail that extended significantly away from the scene. Police did not confirm or mention that as of this update.
Anyone who can identify the two subjects are asked to contact Investigator VanNamee at 315-765-2219.
