REPORT: Staunch Lewis County Democratic figure announces bid for New York’s 49th Senate District

LOWVILLE- The chairperson of Lewis County’s Democratic Committee has announced her bid for New York’s 49th Senate District.

Cassie Robbins-Forbus, of Lowville, NY says she is not a politician and has never run for office, but given her view of the current circumstances in the world today, she says her goal, if elected, would be to remain open and transparent and listen to all voices.

Forbus is expected to officially make her announcement Saturday, February 21 at 3:00 p.m. at 7016 West Road, Lowville, NY.

New York’s 49th Senate District is currently held by staunch Republican figure, Senator Mark Walczyk, who has been outspoken against electrical bus mandates, rising energy costs and several other key issues impacting North Country residents.
