LOWVILLE- Randy Roggie and Philip Turck have both entered not guilty pleas amidst their case alleging falsified business records in Lowville, NY.
This update is according to the latest from WWNY-TV.
Towards the end of last month, State Police announced an official arrest was made, where Roggie, 59, who has just retired, was charged with a misdemeanor count of official misconduct, while Sergeant Turck, 47, who was reportedly on paid sick leave when State Police released their update, was charged with one felony count of falsifying business records; three misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and misdemeanor official misconduct.
As it has been reported, authorities are alleging that Turck submitted falsified timesheets on behalf of Lowville Police Department, while then Chief Roggie knowingly authorized them.
The pair appeared in court last Thursday and are both due back later in September.
The Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office has been watching over the case.
Former Lewis County Sheriff Mike Tabolt has since taken on the role as Lowville’s acting Police Chief.
