MARCY- The search is on for a dog who belongs to a local man who was involved in an accident Thursday evening in Oneida County.

It was around 7:10 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatchers received word of a collision that involved two vehicles in the town of Marcy. It happened on the Trenton Road and the Sheriff’s Office investigated.

As of this report, deputies have determined that Mitchell Clark, 39 of Remsen, NY was heading southeast in a 2013 Dodge truck. Clark somehow lost control and crossed over the double line, causing a collision with an oncoming 2014 Jeep, reportedly driven by David Hooker, 39, of Trenton, NY.

The impact caused Clark’s truck to roll-over and end up on its roof, while Hooker’s Jeep spun-out and came to rest on a guiderail.

Members of Kunkel Ambulance took Hooker to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for evaluation. No injuries were mentioned by authorities for Clark.

With that being said, he had a 9-month-old Bernadoodle dog with him when the wreck occurred, named “Chuck Norris.”
