* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Oneida County in central New York...
  Madison County in central New York...
  Northern Cortland County in central New York...
  Onondaga County in central New York...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 626 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Brewerton to near Syracuse to Tully, moving
  northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Onondaga, Syracuse, Clay, Rome, Cicero, De Witt, Sullivan, Oneida,
  Kirkland, and Lenox.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage across the Syracuse metro area. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside
a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! Large hail, damaging
wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with
these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s
leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
